Madrid, Spain, April 28 (SP). Around 10:00 a.m. (local time) the President of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe Vélez, arrived to the Barajas International Airport in the city of Madrid, to begin with his work agenda, which includes meetings with the Spanish President, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and the King of Spain, Juan Carlos de Borbón.
The leader arrived to the European country with his wife, Mrs Lina Moreno, Jaime Bermúdez, Foreign Secretary, César Mauricio Velásquez, Press Secretary of the Presidency and security personnel.
At 1:45 p.m., local time, the President of Colombia went to the inauguration of an interactive bus about Colombia at the Ritz Hotel of Madrid. This project is led by Proexport.
By 2:00 p.m., the leader started his participation in a conference organized by New Economy Forum, the Wall Street Journal and the BBVA Bank.
The Colombian Head of State will visit the Deputy Congress, where he will have a meeting with the President of the Congress, José Bono at 6:00 p.m.
Then, around 7:00 p.m., he will meet at the Moncloa Palace with the President of the Spanish Government, Mr. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. |
