The Colombian Head of State met this Friday with the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency of Spain, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, and pointed that “she has reiterated good news about the political decision to promptly conclude negotiations for the agreement of the Andean Community countries who are involved in this matter with the European Union”
Bogota, August 7 (SP). President Álvaro Uribe Vélez highlighted the commitment of the Government of Spain to promote negotiations for the commercial agreement with the European Union (EU). That was stated after his meeting with the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency of Spain, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega Sanz at the Casa de Nariño.
“She has reiterated good news about the political decision to promptly conclude negotiations for the agreement of the Andean Community countries who are involved in this matter with the European Union”, the Head of State declared before the press conference.
The Leader tanked the visit of the Spanish Vice President and underlined her determination and willingness, which have been a key to strengthen relations between both nations.
“That is why we greet her with all respect, receive her in a warm way and we had the opportunity this morning to analyze some important matters related to the bilateral relation between Colombia and Spain”, the President said.
At the beginning of his statement, before national and international press, President Uribe expressed gratitude for the Vice President’s visit: “I want to openly welcome Mrs María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, Vice President of the Government of Spain. We are grateful for this new visit, which we always find very convenient” |
