President Uribe met with his Argentinean counterpart Cristina Fernandez

After the meetings with the President of Chile and Argentina, Michelle Bachelet and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the Colombian President flew to Asuncion to hold a meeting with the Head of State of Paraguay, Fernando Lugo.

Buenos Aires, August 5 (SP). President Álvaro Uribe Vélez thanked his counterpart of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, for the “dialogue scenario” which took place at the Casa Rosada on Wednesday afternoon.

“I have just finished my meeting with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, a wide meeting in which important matters were discussed. I want to thank her for this dialogue scenario”, Uribe declared to the press.

Before leaving to Paraguay, where he is going to meet with President Fernando Lugo, Uribe Vélez sent a message to the citizens of Argentina: “I would like, through you dear journalists, to express my kindest greetings for the people of Argentina”.

Uribe Vélez is on a tour of South America in order to discuss –directly with his counterparts- terrorism in Colombia, its risks and matters related to the Union of South American Nations (Unasur).

On Wednesday morning, President Uribe and the Minister of Foreign Affaris, Jaime Bermúdez, held a meeting with the President of Chile Michelle Bachelet. Just before, he met with the Presidents of Peru and Bolivia, Alan García and Evo Morales.
