Colombian Government authorizes Senator Piedad Córdoba to participate in the liberation of kidnapped people

Bogota, July 8 (SP). “The National Government authorizes Senator Piedad Cordoba along with the International Red Cross and the Catholic Church, to participate in the liberation of the citizens who are still being held hostage by the Farc.

The 24 members of the Armed Forces, kidnapped by the Farc, must be liberated simultaneously and they must send back the bodies of the three fellow citizens who were murdered while they were in captivity.

The logistics for the liberation will be coordinated, in a discrete way, by High Peace Commissioner Frank Pearl along with the International Red Cross and the Armed Forces”.
