Bogota, July 27 (SP).  The President of the Republic of Colombia informs that Mr. Gabriel Siva Luján has been named as the new Minister of Defense.

The President highlights the excellent work that General Freddy Padilla de León has done as acting Minister of Defense. He will continue as General Commander of the Military Forces.

The new Minister will appoint in August.
