He highlighted that his administration has financed both Democratic Security and social policy, at the same time, in order to increase investment.
He also insisted in the need of having a continuous pedagogical approach about the complementary policies of the Government.
“Governments must be pedagogical because social and security policies must work together. Both are linked, are necessary complements”, the Head of State highlighted.
He ratify that the Government is working in a bill to ask the wealthiest sectors to make an additional effort to finance the Democratic Security Policy.
“To guarantee that this policy (security) won’t use resources that must go to social policies. I think that we must highlight this, accepting all that we still have much to do. A great balance between social and security policies”.
In his speech, the Leader reminded that the National Government has diminished bureaucracy in several State agencies in order use the money they had for community works.
“In the last years we have diminished bureaucracy in several State Agencies to be able to spend that money in this kind of things. And we have to take that at a local, departmental and national level”, President Uribe concluded |
