That was the conclusion of an investigation made by the International Consulting Company Llorente & Cuenca, after a survey in which 987 people from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Spain participated, 687 were businessmen and the other 300 were leaders and politicians. The Colombian Head of State is in the third place in the world ranking, after the presidents of the United States and France.
Bogota, July 14 (SP). President Uribe is the best ranked leader in Latin America according to Spanish American businessmen, according to an investigation made by the international communications consulting company ‘Llorente y Cuenca’.
The study was based on surveys applied to 987 people from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Spain, 687 were businessmen and the other 300 were leaders and politicians.
The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva and the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, are in second and third place in Latin America, after the President of Colombia.
As well, the best ranked presidents in the world are the following: first, United States’ Barack Obama; second France’s Nicolas Sarkozy and third Colombia’s Alvaro Uribe Vélez.
The President of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, is in the sixth place after Brazil’s Lula Da Silva and Germany’s Angela Merkel.
On the other hand, Bill Gates, Carlos Slim and Steve Jobs were the international businessmen with the best reputation among the leaders and politicians who participated in the study.
The best ranked Latin American businessmen were Carlos Slim, Lorenzo Zambrano and Brazilian José Sergio Gabrielli.
The research was directed by Alfredo Arceo Vacas, associate professor of the Complutense University of Madrid, and the field work was done in the offices that Llorente & Cuenca has in each country from October 2008 to January 2009.
The survey was made with Di presidents, vice presidents, advisors and managers from the top 350 companies of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Spain.
As for the politicians, Ministers, Vice Ministers, deputies, congressmen and political party leaders participated.
The research also analyzes the relation between Latin American governments and companies through the opinion of almost one thousand businessmen; leaders and legislators form Latin America and Spain.
