In Colombia you can find excellent managers, excellent workers, excellent partners and a modern legislation for labor, retirement funds and regulation”, the Colombian Head of State expressed at the Allen & Company Annual Conference in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Sun Valley, Idaho, United States, July 9 (SP).  President Uribe invited American business leaders to invest in Colombia at the Allen & Company Annual Conference in Sun Valley, Idaho.

During his speech which lasted more than an hour, the Colombian Leader pointed that Colombia is open for investment and has modern labor legislation with full guarantees for those who want to invest in the country with social responsibility. In addition, he highlighted the qualifications of Colombian people to work and manage business.

“Remember that Colombia is the third market of Latin America, after Brazil and Mexico and this year we have had a close integration with Brazil and Mexico. Colombia is a country with a population of 46 million people, with excellent people. In Colombia you can find excellent managers, excellent workers, excellent partners and a modern legislation for labor, retirement funds and regulation” the President said.

The Head of State reiterated that the National Government has always declared its support “to investors who are socially responsible”.

Around 300 people were in the audience between business leaders and politicians. The moderator was Mr. David Ignatius from the Washington Post.

The President went to this event with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Luis Guillermo Plata and the Ambassador of Colombia in the United States, Carolina Barco.

The Allen & Company Sun Valley Conferences is an annual event arranged and financed by Allen & Company. Since 1983 this conference has took place in the city of Sun Valley, Idaho in July.
