Bogota, June 23 (SP). Next Monday, June 29, at 2:15pm (local time) the Presidents of the United States and Colombia, Barack Obama and Álvaro Uribe Vélez, will hold a bilateral meeting to examine different matters of common interest, at the White House.
In Washington, President Uribe will also have meetings with other staff members of the Obama administration, representatives of multilateral organizations and opinion leaders.
In addition, he will give the San Carlos Order, Great Cross Level, to Tom Shannon, Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere, who has been a close friend of Colombia during his career.
The Head of State’s agenda will also includes a conference in which the Leader will talk about the incentives of the National Government for investors and the progress of the Democratic Security Policy.
This event is scheduled for Tuesday June 30, and it is coordinated by the Inter-American Dialogue, the Council for the Americas and the Woodrow Wilson Center. |
