The Head of State stressed that the country must think about the post crisis “As soon as we begin to overcome crisis, we need Colombia to be a world’s first class investment destiny”, he pointed.
Bogotá, March 24 (SP). President Álvaro Uribe Vélez invited Colombians to keep the trust in the country, despite of the crisis due to the difficult situation of international markets.
“My request for the Colombians, today from the Autónoma University, is that among this crisis, this distress, this difficulty, we can continue in the road of trust, of investment”, said the leader at an education forum.
He said that Colombia must be considered as a reliable investment destiny, to get to the end of the crisis with prosperity.
“Now, what the country must do is to think in the post crisis. As soon as we begin to get over it, Colombia must be considered as a world’s first class investment destiny. Investment will arrive where there is trust, and will avoid places where there is no trust at all”, he pointed.
The President highlighted that despite the world’s economy problems, Colombia keeps the trust from the investors.
“Somebody told me: ‘well President but is going to be the same to have trust or not, because the crisis will be so deep that no one will invest in countries with no investor’s trust, nor in the ones that has it’… Until now, despite the crisis, Colombia still has investment” stated the Head of State. |
