Medellín, March 29 (SP). The following is the statement given by the Press Secretary of the Presidency of Colombia, César Mauricio Velásquez, about the meeting between President Álvaro Uribe Vélez and the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, Timothy Geithner.

“Tonight President Álvaro Uribe Vélez had a meeting with the United States Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Timothy Geithner.

Regarding to this constructive meeting, allow me to communicate these three conclusions:

1. They have hold the agreement reached to continue with the capitalization process of the Inter American Development Bank, IADB

2. Both Governments highlighted the importance of keeping Plan Colombia.
