President Uribe reiterates that Colombia wants to keep good relations with neighboring countries

“Our energy and determination to fight terrorism has nothing to do with our friendliness for our brother countries in order to have the best relations with them”, he stated.

Bogota, October 6 (SP). In an interview on the Emisora del Atlántico Radio Station, from Barranquilla city, President Álvaro Uribe reiterated that his Government has the determination to fight against domestic terrorism and, at the same time, to keep the best relations with neighboring countries.

“Our energy and determination to fight terrorism has nothing to do with our friendliness for our brother countries in order to have the best relations with them”, he stated.

The Head of State declared that “brotherhood” is the feeling that must join South American people together.

“Our worry is being able to defeat domestic terrorism; we want nothing else but brotherhood with our neighboring nations”, he said.
