The meeting will be focused on subjects oriented to strengthen hemispheric cooperation, south-south cooperation and the accomplishment of the Millennium Development Goals, among others.
Bogota, Sept 2 (SP). Colombia was confirmed this Wednesday as the venue for the meeting of the High-Level Cooperation Authorities from the Organization of American States (OAS), which will be hold on October 26 and 27 2009 in Bogota.
The agreement to hold the meeting was signed by the General Secretary of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza, and the Ambassador of Colombia in that organization, Luis Alfonso Hoyos.
That meeting will address subjects oriented to strengthen hemispheric cooperation, south-south cooperation and the accomplishment of the Millennium Development Goals, included in the Social Letter, as well as the improvement quality management systems of the governments. Several Ministers and high authorities of cooperation will participate in the event.
In addition, the Government of Colombia will reiterate its interest to keep supporting the process for strengthening inter-American cooperation. |
